There's always been something very intriguing about running away and getting married in secret. In recent years though, the definition of "elopement" has changed! For a lot of people an elopement is now synonymous with an "intimate wedding". Usually that means less than 20 guests, often forgoing an official reception and having a shorter day. 

There are many reasons to choose an elopement, just like there are many reasons to choose a big party. If we learned anything in recent times though, it's to focus on what truly matters. You may find that that results in a wedding day that's a lot more intimate, and no less special.
